Rick Kapani is Apptium’s Chief Executive Officer charged with aligning technology development and corporate strategy to enable Apptium to anticipate, shape, and lead major market transitions. He brings business acumen, people management skills and strategic vision in his leadership role He helps direct technology and operational innovation across the company and oversees strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, the integration of new business models, the incubation of new technologies, and the cultivation of world-class technical talent. Over the years, he has been an integral part of the company while working closely with the top management in charting growth strategy by understanding his customer’s perspective through emphasis on discovery. In his previous roles, Rick has served in hands on technology, leadership and executive positions at Architel Systems Corporation, Nortel Networks, MetaSolv, and Concept wave. He has worked with service providers around the globe, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges facing the service provider industry. Rick carries over 20 years of Technology and Telecommunications experience which has been widely recognized for his creative mindset and visionary leadership. He has served on government initiatives, industry advisory boards, and charitable and community organizations. He has notably also held board positions on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment authority of Virginia as well as the Center for Innovation and Technology of Virginia. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and has attended the Executive leadership program at MIT.
