Great article this week in the Economist asking what the world's bankers (did I spell that right?) could learn from the telecom melt-down of the early 2000's. Hi, thanks for the question. The Forum is rather different from a number of industry associations. We don?t focus on promoting a specific technology; rather we help our members with the business and operational issues of enabling the creation, delivery and monetization of digital services. We do that by developing common agreements for automating business processes inside and between service providers. We are a global organization with over 700 member companies in 75 countries and we facilitate these members in reaching software agreements and best practice definitions in over 80 separate technical projects. In addition, we run a comprehensive series of conferences, webinars, training programs, publications and we have recently added an industry research team. Like TelcoProfessionals, we believe in fostering a global community of likeminded people across a range of disciplines, so the web is ever more important to tapping into the collective experience of our large user population around the world. Best wishes Keith Willetts, Chairman & CEO TM Forum
